Environmentally Friendly Aluminum

100% Recyclable

Alumet’s aluminum contains a high percentage of both post-consumer and post-industrial content. At the end of its long, useful life, it is 100% recyclable. Alumet’s aluminum can be repeatedly recycled back into similar products with no loss of quality. To produce aluminum from recycled material requires only 5% of the energy required to produce aluminum from ore and every ton of recycled aluminum saves 4 tons of ore. Additionally, using recycled aluminum instead of raw materials reduces air pollution generation such as CO2, SOx, and NOx by 95% and water pollution by 97%.

“Green Products”
Alumet’s anodized aluminum is produced in a eco-friendly manufacturing plant. Everything about anodized aluminum is “green” from the base material to the anodizing process to the finished product. It is 100% recyclable, will not out-gas and does not produce toxic fumes.

Eco-Friendly Manufacturing

Alumet Supply operates five branches along with a distribution network throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, to meet your needs quickly and efficiently. As a local source, we reduce the use of fuel and other transportation expenses.

We maximize sheet and coil material dimension, minimizing scrap waste. Any scrap waste from manufacturing processes can easily be recycled. Products are shipped in minimal, eco-friendly packaging which can also be recycled.

“Conflict Free” Minerals Compliance

In August 2012, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission {SEC} issued rules implementing the provisions of Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank Act). Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act imposes new reporting requirements on companies who manufacture, or contract to manufacture, products the use Conflict Minerals, which are defined as cassiterite, columbite-tantalite, gold, wolframite and any other minerals determined by the Secretary of State to be financing the conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo and its adjoining countries.
Alumet Supply has discussed this issue with its suppliers and can confirm that no Conflict Minerals are used in the manufacturing of material supplied by our company.
